The controls work fine but the cables need lubrication. But they are straight and solid. They have been repaired as is shown in the pictures. When I had them welded wrapped friction tape around the repair and carried on as actually rode this bike everyday.

These original handlebars have a repair but they are straight, solid and complete with working spirals cables, I removed them from 1947 Chief. I ran them in this condition for a few years with no issues.
